Contest Theme:

Details:

  1. All entries must relate to the 2009 ChristyFestTM theme :     "Remembering how the Story Began."  This is a broad theme and you may interpret it as you like, but the focus of the story should be on how a story began, whatever you decide that story to be. Be creative!  
  2. All entries must revolve around the themes from the book, CBS series and PAX movies, "Christy" by Catherine Marshall. Because of this, all stories must contain a disclaimer such as this: "The story of Christy is owned by the Marshall-LeSourd Family. We are in no way seeking profit or credit for her story. This fiction is written for our own amusement only. This story uses themes from the book, CBS series and the PAX movies."        
  3. Story entries will be accepted from January 21, 2009 through February 21, 2009 at 9:00 PM EST. Send all entries to: smokygap@yahoo.com. Entries will be posted on this website, to be voted on in late February 2009. 
  4. Stories must be at least 500 words and no more than 3000 words.
  5. One entry per person. All entries will be posted anonymously.  Authors will be revealed and posted to this site after the voting is complete!
  6. Entries must be original material and previously unpublished. Stories must be independent works and not part of a story.
  7. Voting begins February 23 and ends March 2, 2009 at 9:00 PM EST.  (A voting link will be added to this website on 2/23/09.) Only one vote per person, per day is allowed. Winners will be announced  March 3, 2009.
  8. The prize for the winning story will be a first edition copy of "Christy" and the winner's choice of one Cast & Crew related photo [complete list of choices available in the Christy store].  Members of the CF Team are not eligible for prizes.
  9. Please note that this year we are not including a poetry contest, and apologize to those who may feel disappointed. We encourage you to try a story, or, post your poetry on the Christy Forum [http://christyfest.suddenlaunch3.com/]
